We've been playing vtes at WCC new location. If there are any players in the area, we would love to have you join us on Friday nights, starting around 18:00 hrs. 6PM for those that didn't know. My friend Nick met Bobby at Wizard world and absolutely loved this comic. He bought issue 2 and 3 the day they came out. I really want to check out this comic.

Any chance of there being more of this to come?

Garth Ennis' mob-guy-gone-good title started this week. I just read it this morning. Let me just say that it was pretty awesome. Ennis knows exactly how to capture the sound and feel of your typical New York Italian gangster almost like it was pulled from Goodfellas or something.

Did anyone else pick this issue up?

Come Saturday and Sunday for pre-release events at our White Cap Comics location.

Saturday the prerelease event starts at noon.

Sunday the prerelease starts at 1 p.m.

steve jackson rep/demo'er and i were talking last monday, and decided to try running a game board night.  he's in the store monday evenings, anyway(sorry, i'm horrible wth names).  i am moving my traveller rpg to tuesdays, so i can make myself available all day.  no car this week, and he's going to be absent, too, so will start 22 september.  if there's a game you've been wanting to play or learn, let us know. we'll do our best to find someone who owns/knows the game.  store will not provide most games, so post here if you need someone to bring a copy.  we'll have a few games with us every week.   george june

I would like this to be a serious discussion of the differences and similarities between 4th Ed. and 3.5. I am not looking to hear (read) about all the complaints about not getting 4th or what was wrong with 3.5; this is suppose to be serious compare/contrast discussion of the primal differences between 4th and 3.5.

Ergo, What i can see as a stark difference between 4th and 3.5 is the artwork, to me at least, appears to be much more prominent. Though, through a quick browse of the PHB, I feel WotC should put out a PHB2 listing additional /optional races to play as found in the MM's and etc.

other than that first query about the 4th/3.5 differences:

How is character creation, faster or slower, simpler or complex, understandably easier or harder?

3 100pt armies are to build at 15 units max.
    1st 100 pt army shall not have aircraft,
    3rd 100pt army shall not have infantry.
    no more than 4 of any named unit (arisaka, t-34/76, etc.) PER ARMY
    1st army deploys at turn 1 upto 3 hexes out
    2nd army deploys at turn 2 upto 2 hexes out
    3rd army deploys at turn 3 upto 1 hex out
    these restrictions also apply to partisan, paratrooper and unit with like abilities.
    1-3" hex map. deploy in short side.
    Force march optional.
    Intiative roll: winner chooses map-loser choose objective-based or annihilation.
    12 turn limit max. 7 turns is minimum valid game.

200pts. armor only with support units allowed. army build limits: 1 unit @ 70+ pts, 2 units @ 60 to 69 pts, 3 units @ 50 to 59 pts, and 4 units @ <=49 pts. these are the restriction on the armor types fielded. 3" hex maps. highest initiative chooses map.
